The answer, on the back, comes from Yehoshua ben Perachya: "Acquire for yourself a teacher, and get yourself a friend." (Pirkei Avot 1:6). As simple as it is radical. For no one grows alone: one needs a teacher to be guided and elevated, and a true friend to walk alongside without flattery. The Pirkei Avot—the Sayings of the Fathers—thus remind us that our future often depends on whom we listen to, and that good encounters can change the course of an entire life.
