The gold is more subdued against the dark background, the emblem is suggested rather than imposed. It's the simplest way to keep meaning close to you, in a comfortable cut made for movement, from lazy mornings to impromptu outings.
The design, however, loses none of its significance. In the EMETH™ universe — אמת, truth — the open book signifies learning, the quill transmission, and the star the light that illuminates the path.
