The Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, the first letter of אמת — Emet, Truth — and the first letter of the EMETH house. Before it, there is nothing; after it, everything can be written. It is the threshold, the point of origin from which meaning begins to move.

The Aleph is silent. It is not pronounced — it is felt. It is the breath before speech, the point of unity from which the world springs forth: one, indivisible. This is why our Sages associate it with the Essence itself, that which precedes and contains all things. To wear it is to wear this foundational silence, this unity before dispersion.
